Honouring Canada’s Heroes in Niagara Falls with a Free Boat Ride!

Hornblower Niagara Cruises offers free Boat Tour to veterans and serving military

NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. — They put it all on the line for our freedom, and have earned our honour and respect.

In recognition of the service and sacrifice made by veterans and current soldiers, Hornblower Niagara Cruises is offering them and a guest a free ticket for the Voyage the Falls Boat Tour between November 8th (which also happens to be National Aboriginal Veterans Day) and 10th.

“Remembrance is a day when we take a moment to honour those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, and thank those who are currently serving our country,” says Mory DiMaurizio, Vice-President and General Manager of Hornblower Niagara Cruises. “We are honoured to welcome veterans and active-duty personnel on board the Niagara Thunder and Niagara Wonder.”

All Canadian and American veterans and active-duty military who present their military ID on November 8th at the Hornblower Niagara Ticket Plaza will receive a free Voyage to the Falls boat tour ticket for themselves and one guest.

The autumn is a great time to take the Voyage to the Falls tour. The trees lining the Niagara Gorge explode in a beautiful palette of colours — and the vista from the boat is simply stunning —  with no lineups and warm beverages for purchase and to be enjoyed at the outdoor riverside patio. Hornblower Niagara Cruises is a fully accessible attraction.

“This is the first time Hornblower has extended this offer to serving and retired military men and women,” says DiMaurizio. “The initiative is part of a larger commitment to our community. We have enacted several environmental conservation measures at Hornblower, and participated in the Community Clean Sweep in Niagara Falls on October 5th. We have been working hard to do our part to build a better Niagara Falls, and will continue to do so.”

Veterans and active-duty personnel can acquire their tickets between November 8th and 10th at the Hornblower Niagara Ticket Plaza from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
